Enhance Your Field Trip Experience!

Student Workshops are designed to empower your students to think, read, write, and communicate like real scientists. Each Student Workshop includes a conservation quest, prompting students to use the wild spaces at Omaha’s Zoo and Aquarium to unpack science concepts through 3-dimentional learning. Engaging in Science and Engineering Practices and the Cross Cutting Concepts, students will grapple with real-world conservation initiatives and discover conservation efforts supported by Omaha’s Zoo and Aquarium. All workshops are aligned with Nebraska’s College and Career Ready Standards for Science and Next Generation Science Standards.

Student Workshops are 2-hour programs offered for grades K-12. Enhance your students' experience by including a Behind-the-Scenes Tour of animal areas or scheduling an Ambassador Animal for an up-close animal encounter!
