Summer at the Zoo is a special kind of magic. Operations are in full swing, and the Zoo has come alive with wildlife, outdoor adventure, and unforgettable moments around every corner. Across more than 160 acres and alongside 33,000 animals, every visit brings the perfect mix of outdoor exploration and cool indoor escapes at the #1 Zoo in the Nation.

Splash through the Scott Alaskan Adventure Splash Park, grab a Dole Whip or fresh-squeezed lemonade, feed a giraffe, then cool off inside six acres of air-conditioned indoor habitats filled with rainforests, deserts, oceans, and nocturnal worlds.

With the Skyfari and trams running throughout the Zoo, it’s easy to explore more while taking a break along the way. And with 18 destinations across grounds for meals, snacks, frozen treats, and cold drinks, your next summer favorite is always nearby. From unforgettable animal encounters to sweet treats shared together, there’s always something wild waiting to be discovered.

Our hours are 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Buildings are open until 6 p.m.
- The lower level of Lied Jungle closes at 3:30 p.m.; the upper level closes at 4 p.m.
